Hey there! So today my mom and I went SHOPPING! We bought a bunch of stuff for the kids in Vietnam, with the money I raised from the bake sale.

Stuff we got at Target |
First Stop: Target!
We got 30 Packages of Crayola Colored Pencils and 2 huge boxes of sidewalk chalk, one for each orphanage we plan on helping. We only got 30 packages of colored pencils, because we figured the older kids would prefer the colored pencils, and the younger kids would probably prefer crayons.

Super happy because the colored pencils were only 97 cents per package--which is 66% cheaper than I had planned for my budget! The chalk wasn't on sale, and I hadn't put it in my budget plan....but since the colored pencils were so cheap, I just went for it. I mean who doesn't love chalk?

We were going to buy these crayons...buuut too pricey :/ |
Next, we went to a plaza with a bunch of shops. We were planning on going to Staples first, but we went to Old Navy for a white polo (part of my Girl Scout uniform...the other one was getting a little big small).

Uniform shopping. Love it. |
Then we got sidetracked (part 2) and went to REI to buy a bunch of bug spray for the trip.

But we got to Staples!
They had insane deals here, too, so we got 40 Composition Books & 20 packages of crayons (24 in each!). The Composition books were college rule (YES!) and were only 50 cents each.
What? They're usually like 2 bucks! So I was pretty ecstatic about that. And 50 cent packs of crayons?? :) x10000

shop till we drop? |
Costco was right next door so we went there next. We also did a little house shopping, so it took a little longer than usual. We bought a bunch of "American" candy, some for family in Vn and some for the kids. I have heard from a lot of people who have visited Vietnam that the kids there absolutely adore M&M's, so we got 3 huge packages that were 56 oz each.

Candy!! |
We took a little break and stopped by to lay down on these ridiculously comfy mattresses...my mom
almost got one for me.
 |
Mama: "No, you know what, if I get one it'll be for me." |
Theeen we went to the school supplies section, and we got 108 pens and 192 pencils. It was Costco, so naturally, it was pretty dang cheap.

The total for the whole day was $131.56!
My planned budget is $500, so we still have a lot of money to buy stuff for the little ones or just basics that they need...stuff like powdered milk, diapers, medicine, and rice. We'll probably buy those things over there in Vn. But it was a pretty fun and successful day with my mom!
Thanks for reading!
Love Audge
P.S. Here's a couple of extra pics :)
