Gold Award Brainstorming 1/30/15
- Small Orphanages in Vietnam
- Collection of school supplies mostly (notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, scissors, rulers...)
- Raising money (bake sales, fundraisers @ restaurants, drives @ school, beach volleyball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, MAC Athletic Club, Mama's salon, neighborhood)
- Money sent directly to the orphanages to improve conditions through relatives in Vietnam
- Building websites/blogs/social media for orphanages in Vietnam that do not know how/have money to do so (sustainability)...how many? 1 orphanage? Several? All in the same website? Separate websites?
- Teach people there how to upload blogs/add stuff to websites (more research)
- Collection of cameras? Teach kids how to capture pictures and upload them to gain publicity!
- Get people to help: teammates at Mizuno, beach vb, other GS (@LCHS!), friends, Costa Beach/Indoor VB team
- VISIT!! Summer 2015? Winter Break 2015? Spring Break 2016?
It is so amazing that you are doing the Gold Award and you have so many great ideas that will all benefit numerous people. If you are able to teach kids how to use a camera and upload pictures, you would be able to help them in so many ways!
