Chicken Cupcakes?!

Last Friday in AP Euro, we were required either to bake a cake or some cupcakes in honor of Marie Antoinette. The only qualifications were that they had to relate to something we had learned in the past several months. My friend Akela and I partnered up to make some cupcakes that had little "chickens" in them. This relates to Henry IV's quote "A chicken in every pot", which was used to signify his desire for everyone in France to be fed. Everything was homemade; we made the cupcakes and the different colors of frosting from scratch! Even though they didn't look fantastic, I was still really proud of them and it was super fun to make. We also won an award in class, so we earned 5 points of extra credit!! Tears of joy definitely surfaced.
